IN CHINA THE SUCCESS HAS BEEN DOUBLE!
In Shanghai and Peking Michele Chiarlo was newly welcomed, as to confirm the great follow up of his wines in a p arti cular market: the Chinese market thus is growing very fast (20% of increase every year, in average), despite its strong attention to quality products.
For more than 10 years are the Michele Chiarlo wines on this market, supported by “ASC Finewine Importer” , and they have seen directly the consumers getting more and more careful about fine wines and quality wines.
The first event took place on the 14th of September at hotel St Regis in Shanghai , important journalist of food and beverage , managers of prestigious hotels and few selected private customers have been invited.
The star of the event was Barolo Cerequio , the most famous wine of the winery, proposed in a vertical tasting of its last 10 vintages (1990 – 2003), which astonished the guests for personality of each single vintage, as well as for its complexity, elegance and its development through the years.
The one of our Barolo Cerequio has been the second (out of five) important vertical tastings dedicated to big reds promoted by the same association, and followed the one committed to the prestigious Grange Penfolds, the most famous wine from Australia.
On the following day the same event took place in Peking , at the China World , the first hotel in China to be awarded by Wine Spectator of the A ward of Excellence.
Even in Peking the tasting has been a great success, as well as the satisfaction of Michele Chiarlo, proud of having brought in the mandarin empire a little touch of Piedmont magic.
